Former MNA Usman Tarakai Quits PTI

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI) former Member of the National Assembly, Usman Khan Tarakai on Sunday announced his resignation from the party.

In a press conference at Peshawar Press Club, Tarakai said that he and his family could not continue their affiliation with the party anymore after the 9 May incidents.

He said that we would neither sit on PTI’s seats in the parliament nor move forward with it.

Tarakai highlighted his political career, saying that he was initially affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim PML-Quaid (PML-Q), followed by his association with the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), and then joined PTI with the objective that it will work on justice but did not.

Tarakai said that he had been engaged in meetings and conversations with Imran Khan, promoting fairness and justice.

Achievements in PTI tenure

He claimed that during his tenure, he established 3 grid stations and provided gas facilities to twenty-two union councils.
