MIRPUR: Vice-President of the National Conference and former Chief Minister of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) Omar Abdullah has criticized the ruling BJP’s development promises, labeling them as a collection of falsehoods that have deceived the people in the guise of elections.
Omar Abdullah, speaking to reporters in the southern Kulgam area of IIOJK, stated that the BJP has consistently betrayed the region with empty promises of elections, job opportunities, development, improved electricity, and other essential services.
Omar Abdullah Says People of IIOJK Receive Nothing from BJP
He said that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir had received nothing substantial from the BJP except for falsehoods. Despite claims of substantial funds being allocated, the state’s electricity situation has worsened, he noted, adding that conditions were better during his tenure.
In response to the Amshipora Shopian encounter, where the Indian Army suspended punishment for the involved officer, Omar Abdullah urged New Delhi to avoid exploiting the people of the occupied J&K state.
He strongly condemned India’s ongoing actions against Kashmiris, suggesting that the Indian government’s decision in this case conveyed a message that the lives of the people of J&K are undervalued, as reported.
