ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Information Ministry has decided to take local and international journalists on a visit to areas — Muzaffarabad, Muridke, Kotli, and Ahmedpur — attacked by India last night, local media cited sources as saying.
Dawn news reported that the journalists, 30 of them associated with foreign media outlets and 50 affiliated with local channels, will also be given access to locations where innocent Pakistanis lost their lives in Indian strikes.
Exposing India’s aggression
Citing the sources, local media reported that the visit was aimed at exposing India’s aggression in Pakistan to the world.
Earlier, state-run television, PTV reported that the Indian Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today to receive Pakistan’s strong protest over the unprovoked Indian strikes at multiple locations across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
These strikes resulted in the deaths and injuries of several civilians, including women and children. It was conveyed that India’s blatant act of aggression constitutes a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, according to PTV. Such actions are in contravention of the UN Charter, international law, and established norms governing inter-state relations. Pakistan firmly rejected India’s baseless justifications for its hostile conduct.
The Indian side was warned that such reckless behavior poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
