QUETTA: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday that 10 terrorists had been killed, while one terrorist has been apprehended in injured condition during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in the general area of Hoshab, Balochistan.
According to ISPR, two terrorists managed to escape; the operation to trace them continues in the area.
Terrorists Killed in Security Forces Operation in Balochistan
ISPR said an Intelligence Based Operation was conducted to clear a hideout of terrorists linked with firing incidents targeting security forces and civilians alike, besides planting explosive devices on the M-8 motorway in the general area of Hoshab.
Security Forces were Establishing Blocking Positions when Terrorists Opened Fire: ISPR
As security forces were in the process of establishing blocking positions after identification of 12-14 terrorists’ locations, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, ISPR said.
During an ensuing heavy exchange of fire, 10 terrorists were killed while one terrorist has been apprehended in injured condition, ISPR added.
ISPR said that a heavy cache of arms and ammunition, including improvised explosive devices, has also been recovered.
In step with the nation, security forces remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging Balochistan’s stability, peace, and progress.
