NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has reiterated the government’s strong commitment to nurturing partnerships with the global business and industrial community.
The Pakistan Foreign Minister met with a group of US business leaders at the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU).
During his address, Jalil Abbas Jilani emphasized the resilience of the Pakistani market, despite facing significant challenges in recent years, including the COVID-19 pandemic, devastating floods last year, and the global supply chain crisis. He highlighted that the government’s stabilizing measures were guiding the nation toward economic recovery and growth.
The minister urged US businesses to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, emphasizing that the country’s ongoing transformation offered unique investment prospects across various sectors.

Key Initiative for Investment Promotion
In this context, he highlighted the significance of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) as a groundbreaking initiative launched by the Pakistani government to promote investments in agriculture, IT, mineral & mining, renewable energy, and defense production sectors.
The minister underscored the immense potential awaiting foreign investors in these sectors and assured them of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to providing a secure investment environment, legal protection, and avenues for profit repatriation.
