RAWALPINDI: Five terrorists were killed, one soldier martyred during Pakistani security forces Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Jhallar Algad area of North Waziristan district of the country, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Monday.
According to Pakistan’s military media wing, ISPR, security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Jhallar Algad area of North Waziristan district, the erstwhile FATA.
During the intelligence-based operation, intense fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists, ISPR stated.
Five Terrorists Killed
“Troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location. Resultantly, five terrorists got killed,” ISPR said.
The military media wing said that weapon and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists.
The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens, ISPR said.
However, during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Nasir Khan (age 25 years, resident of South Waziristan District) fighting gallantly, embraced martyrdom, ISPR reported.
ISPR said that clearance of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
