5 killed in Sudan: Right Group
In a press statement, Masalit tribesmen alleged Arab militia of being behind the killing of the trader. The killing sparked a series of targeted assaults that killed four more people, the rights group and the tribal leaders both said.
The Darfur Bar Association has identified 5 victims and called on both tribes to de-escalate the ongoing tensions. Sudan has been marinated in chaos and crisis following a military coup, led by the African country’s top military Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
