ISLAMABAD: Tragedy struck on Thursday morning in Tehsil Dukki, Balochistan, as a speeding van carrying wedding guests overturned into a ditch near Nana Sahib, resulting in the loss of at least five lives on the spot, including women, while several others sustained injuries.
According to reports from rescue sources, the accident occurred in the Duki area of Balochistan, where the ill-fated van, returning from a wedding ceremony, flipped over, leading to the tragic fatalities. The victims, including women and children, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Upon receiving the call, local authorities promptly dispatched rescue teams to the site. The deceased were transported to nearby hospitals for further procedures.
As the Rescue 1122 emergency service disclosed, the police’s initial investigations indicate that the accident was caused by the brake failing due to speeding. —APP
