ISLAMABAD/PARIS: At least 10 people including five children were killed in a fire that broke out at a residential building in Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon city of France.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said that the cause of the fire was not known as several scenarios were probable behind the blaze as a probe has been opened.
Macron updated on fire claiming 10 lives
He said that he was in touch with French President Emmanuel Macron over the fire incident.
Darmanin said that around 180 firefighters were at the site to douse the fire. He said that the fire was now almost brought under control.
Rhone authorities said that the fire occurred in the early morning on Friday at a seven-storey building.
