First Robotic Knee Replacement Surgery in Saudi Arabia Proves Successful

MADINAH: A robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery on a woman by a specialized orthopaedic and joint replacement surgical team at King Salman bin Abdulaziz Medical City, part of Madinah Health Cluster has proved to be successful, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday. 

The patient in her seventies was discharged after completing her treatment in good health.

The health cluster highlighted the importance of using robotic systems in joint replacement surgeries, stressing the advancement in orthopaedic procedures. The robotic system enhances precision in implant placement and bone alignment, resulting in improved surgical outcomes and shorter recovery times for patients.
