ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory administration would be holding the first-ever Women T-10 Cricket Tournament besides women sports gala in the first week of March.
Cricket tournament at F-7 Cricket Ground
The Women T-10 Cricket Tournament would be played on March 2 (Thursday), while the sports gala will take place on March 8. The cricket tournament would be played at the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Cricket Ground in sector F-7 here, an ICT spokesperson informed the APP.
He said students from colleges and schools would take part in the cricket tournament while the participants eager to feature in the women tournament can avail free registration until Wednesday. Medals, trophies, and cash prizes would be distributed among the best performers and winners of the tournament, including ‘women of the match’, said the spokesperson.
He said women sports gala would be held at Multipurpose Ground F-6, featuring Lawn Tennis, Basketball, and seven-a-side Football tournament to mark International Women’s Day. He further said that a series of physical and healthy activities including Archery, classic car show, cycling championship and cultural festivals would also be organized for the citizens. — APP
