Final Round of Saudi Toyota Jeep Rally Kicks Off

JEDDAH: The Toyota Jeep Rally 2022, the fourth and final event of the Saudi Toyota Desert Rally Championship, kicked off in Jeddah.

At leats 25 vehicles, 11 bikes, and four teams participated in the inaugural Jeddah Rally, which was organized by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports.

Australian racing motorcyclist Martin was able to set the fastest times in the motorcycle category, while the Saudi rider Haitham Al-Tuwaijri set the fastest times in the quad motorcycle category. Yazeed Al-Rajhi, a racing driver for “Toyota – Overdrive,” set the fastest times in the 10-kilometre special stage (Quads).

The rally’s actual competitions will begin later on Friday, with the first special stage, which is 197 kilometres long and takes place in the desert near Jeddah. The Toyota Desert Rally will start from Khulais and end in Asfan. It is divided into two sections: Special Stage 1 – B, which is 109 kilometers long, and Special Stage 1 – C, which is 88 kilometers long. These two sections are separated by a neutral section that is not timed and contains a checkpoint.
