ISLAMABAD: The third and final group of Bangladesh cricket team members, comprising four players and support staff, arrived in Lahore on Monday ahead of the forthcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan.
This group includes Litton Das, Shoriful Islam, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Towhid Hridoy, along with several members of the support team.
The Bangladesh squad travelled to Pakistan in three separate groups for the series.
On Sunday, a 10-member contingent arrived in Lahore as part of the first phase. This group included players such as Hasan Mahmud, Tanvir Islam, Parvez Hossain Emon, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
Originally, Bangladesh were scheduled to arrive on 21 May in two groups for a five-match T20I series, with the opening fixture set to take place on 25 May in Faisalabad.
Three-match series
However, due to logistical difficulties and evolving security concerns, the tour was modified to a three-match series.
This change was agreed upon following a constructive meeting between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials, including Chairman Nazmul Abedeen and President Farooq Ahmed.
Both boards mutually agreed to proceed with the tour under the revised format.
According to the updated itinerary, all three T20 Internationals will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 28 May, 30 May, and 1 June.
