ISLAMABAD: The filing of nomination papers, for the election on vacant National Assembly constituencies scheduled for March 16, 2023, commenced across the country on Monday.
The process commenced today and will continue until February 8, 2023, with the initial list of all applicants being released on February 9, 2023, and their scrutiny continuing until February 13, 2023.
Acceptance, rejection of nomination papers
Appeals against the acceptance or rejection of the nomination papers by the Returning Officers may be filed with the relevant Appellate Tribunals by February 16, 2023, with decisions due by February 23, 2023.
An updated list of candidates will be released on February 21, and nomination papers can be returned by February 22, 2023. The final list of candidates would be released on February 23, 2023, and they would be awarded electoral symbols, with voting taking place on March 16, 2023.
