ISLAMABAD: The million-dollar question of who will lift the football world cup trophy for a third time will be answered tonight as Argentina and the defending champion France clash in the final match of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The match will kick off at 6 pm (15:00 GMT) at Lusail Stadium, Qatar’s biggest football stadium. France qualified for the final after battle-pasting Morocco two-nil while Argentina defeated Croatia three-nil in the first semi-final of the FIFA World Cup Qatar to reach the final.
It is to be noted that both France and Argentina have won the World Cup football final twice, but if France succeeds, they will become the first team in the last sixty years to defend the world cup title. The last ones to do so were Brazil, who set a record by winning two consecutive world cups in 1958 and 1962.
What will the world cup winners get?
The winners of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be receiving a gold-plated bronze replica of the 18-carat gold trophy designed by Italian artist Silvio Gazzaniga. The original trophy measures 36.5 cm (14.4 inches) in height and weighs 6.175 kgs (13.61 lbs).

In addition to the iconic trophy and a legendary status, the winning team will also be getting a monetary prize of $42 million which has been increased by $4 million as compared to that of the previous world cup in Russia.
