ISLAMABAD: Senegal defeated FIFA World Cup hosts Qatar 3-1 at the Al Thumaima Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
The Group A match was evenly contested with 47 percent possession with Senegal and 39 percent by Qatar while 14 percent of the ball possession was contested.
For Senegal, the goal scorers were Dia 41’, Diedhiou 48’, Dieng 82’ and the sole goal scorer for Qatar was Muntari.
