RAMALLAH: Palestinians said that FIFA World Cup 2022 has proved that their cause has not been buried by the recent normalization agreements between some Arab countries and Israel.

Palestinian Football Association chief Jibril Rajoub told AFP that Morocco’s support for them during its historic World Cup run demonstrates their cause has not been buried.

The team of Morocco unfurled the Palestinian flag on the ground following their stunning victory against Spain and Canada during the group stage matches in FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Atlas Lions have also produced pro-Palestinian social media messages and posts during the mega event.
