ISLAMABAD: In the FIFA World Cup 2022, Group A’s match between Netherlands and hosts Qatar resulted in 2-0 win for the European side at Qatar’s Al Janoub Stadium.
The Qatari sides finished the first-round matches with three losses and zero points thus ending their run in the field, however, with the festive setting and wonderful arrangement for the event the Qataris have won the hearts of global football fans.
Netherlands ball possess more than that of Qatar
The Netherlands midfielders set the pace of the game with 53 percent ball possession against 36 percent by the Qataris with 11 percent ball possession being contested by the two sides.
The Dutch ended the first half leading 1-0 as Gapko had scored in the 26th minute. In the beginning of the second half the Netherlands doubled their lead to two goals with De Jong netting the ball in the 49th minute. Till the end of the second half the score remained the same.
