Due to their remarkable contributions to the football field, Ronaldo and Messi are regarded as the best players of all time.

12 Ballon d’Ors have been awarded to the Portuguese and Argentine players, who have also scored 1604 goals and provided 581 assists.

The biggest names in football will compete in the FIFA world cup 2022, which has begun in Qatar. Both players will be going for their first World Cup victory.

Messi Says This May Be his Final FIFA world cup 2022

Messi has stated that this will “very likely” be his final World Cup, and he will be desperate to beat Germany in extra time, as Argentina did in 2014.

He has yet to follow in the footsteps of Pele and Diego Maradona by winning the World Cup. He did, however, win a major international tournament with Argentina last year, when he was a driving force in their Copa America victory.

Messi’s long-time rival for the title of the best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, will almost certainly play in his final World Cup at the age of 37. The all-time leading international goal scorer recently scored his 700th club goal.

Portugal won an emotional Euro 2016 title with Ronaldo, but their best performance on a global stage with him is a semi-final exit in 2006. He is expected to score for the fifth time in a row, breaking the record held by Pele, Miroslav Klose, and Uwe Seeler.

Ronaldo must overcome a difficult start to the season with Manchester United, where he struggled for form before accusing the club of “betraying” him.
