The US Justice Department did not identify the seized sites but said visitors to the websites would be redirected to sites for additional information. FIFA has all exclusive rights to the World Cup content, and now the tournament has entered the semi-finals.

Special agent James Harris of the Homeland Security Department said that many might believe these websites do not constitute any serious threat. Still, the impact can be felt in many industries.
