DOHA: In the latest match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 football, Australia defeated Tunisia by 1-0 at the Al Janoub Stadium in Qatar.
Australia’s Mitchell Duke scored the goal 23 minutes into the first half and held on to their slender lead via accurate defense and midfield play.
Australia had 42 percent ball possession as opposed to 58 percent for Tunisia, however, the Aussies passing accuracy was 68 percent and that of Tunisia 78 percent.
The Tunisian players picked up three yellow cards.
Now Australia have three points while Tunisia have one point after two matches. The next Group D match is later today between France and Denmark.
