In FIFA 2022 World Cup, a match between Germany and Spain witnessed another draw of the tournament with 1-1 from each side

QATAR: In the group E clash of the FIFA 2022 World Cup, Germany and Spain battle to a 1-1 draw.

The two entered the match in very different situations, with Spain on top of the Group E table after a 7-0 win over Costa Rica. Meanwhile, Germany is at the bottom of the table trying to bounce back from their defeat to Japan. Despite the draw, Spain is still in control of their fate with four points, alone at the top of the group.

Germany still has a lot of life, but there is a lot of work to be done in their next match against Costa Rica.

Germany took the lead when Antonio Rüdiger headed home in the 39th minute. But the Germans were ruled offside and the goal was ruled out. In the second half, Germany came out on a run as they fought for their lives in the World Cup.

Spain struggled to get out of their own half in the opening minutes of the second half. In the 49th minute, Germany got a free kick in a dangerous area but missed the chance. In the 55th minute, a costly turnover forced Spain goalkeeper Unai Simón to save a long shot from Joshua Kimmich. Coming off the bench, Álvaro Morata became the difference maker for La Roja.

In the 62nd minute, the 30-year-old Spanish striker found the back of the net to put Spain 1-0 up. Germany made a great effort to get the goal back. In the 70th minute, Jamal Musiala had a great chance to save Germany’s goal by a minute. But Simon continued to block and prevent the Germans from entering.

Finally, 20 minutes after Spain took the lead, Germany broke through. In the 82nd minute, Niclas Füllkrug beat Simon and brought the game to a dead stop.
No one scored in the remaining half despite some promising chances, and both teams found themselves in a stalemate.
