Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s corner meeting
FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested a suspect in Faisalabad who threatened to kill Maryam Nawaz in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) corner meeting during a recent by-election campaign.
The incident took place in NA 108 where PTI chief and former prime minister Imran Khan was contesting by-polls against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader Abid Sher Ali.
Arrest Imran Khan
The accused had threatened to kill PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz if the government arrested Imran Khan. The video of the incident went viral and PML-N leaders strongly reacted to it. PTI chairman Khan later won the election on October 15.
