ISLAMABAD: The pro-Khalistan advocacy group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has declared that its members “will defend the people of Pakistan against any act of aggression or war initiated by India.”

The statement, released on the 556th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, described the Sikh founder as “the embodiment of truth and justice,” linking his teachings with resistance to oppression and the defence of human dignity.

A Message of Justice and Courage

In its message, the SFJ said, “When India’s leaders speak the language of war, we remind the world that Guru Nanak’s message is not of silence in the face of tyranny, but of fearless resistance and the defence of the oppressed.”
Analysts say the group’s rhetoric, issued on one of Sikhism’s most sacred days, intertwines political activism with the moral authority of Guru Nanak’s philosophy — rooted in equality, compassion, and social justice.
