ISLAMABAD: Women teachers have announced to stage a massive protest against the ‘anti-teacher’ behavior of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) on December 14.
The call for protest was made in an emergency meeting of the Executive Council of the Federal Government College Teachers Association held at H8 College. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that a massive demonstration would be held on Wednesday, December 14 in front of the National Press Club to protest against the ‘anti-teacher’ behavior of the federal education system. Local units were entrusted with the responsibility of preparing placards and banners in this regard.
Demands of teachers
Demands of the teaching staff include the establishment of a separate administrative setup for federal colleges, provision of house-rent funds, immediate cessation of retaliation against the college staff, elimination of illegal conversions, the revival of associate degree programs and four-year BS programs and immediate regular promotion and time-scale meetings.
