ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Friday approved a plan to boost the volume of exports from Gwadar Port in the future.
The cabinet meeting chaired Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad also approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan and Sri Lanka for the issuance of a commemorative postal stamp to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Undre the cabinet instructions a subcommittee of the Cabinet will be formed to submit a quarterly report on imports and exports through Gwadar Port.
The cabinet expressed satisfaction that a wise decision by the cabinet on sugar exports not only brought valuable foreign exchange to the country but also kept sugar prices under control.
