ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday lambasted the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), accusing them of attempting to create chaos in the country in a bid to continue ruling.
Taking to Twitter, Mr. Chaudhry claimed that the PDM wanted to make all the institutions of state controversial and was running a campaign against the Supreme Court (SC) to escape the elections.

“If the order of the apex court will not be implemented, then there will be a need to implement the Sri Lankan model, urging the masses not to surrender their rights,” Mr. Chaudhry added.
He urged the masses to thwart the efforts of the aristocrats in a bid to create the situation of North Korea in the country.
Mr. Chaudhry also raised concerns about the audio leaks of the Prime Minister House and Prime Minister Office, saying that the process of audio leaks is devastating. He criticized the fact that the plea in connection with the audio leaks had not been heard in the top court despite months having passed.
He said that now judges, politicians, public servants, and domestic women were prone to the third-class mentality.

The former federal minister also highlighted that as per the Fair Trial Act, one can be sentenced up to three-year jail for involving in illegal phone taping. He emphasized the need to implement the apex court’s order and urged the PDM to refrain from creating chaos in the country.
Overall, Mr. Chaudhry’s comments reflect the growing political tension in Pakistan, with the PTI and PDM at odds over issues of governance and election rigging.
The PTI has accused the PDM of attempting to destabilize the government, while the PDM has accused the PTI of rigging the 2018 elections. The ongoing political turmoil in the country continues to pose challenges for the government and raises concerns about the future stability of Pakistan.
