FAISALABAD: In a tragic incident on the Khurarianwala-Sheikhupura road near Dramanwala Morh, five lives were lost, and eight individuals sustained injuries following a collision between a coach and a tractor-trolley.
The accident occurred due to the reckless driving of the coach, resulting in a devastating collision that claimed the lives of five people on the spot. Among the deceased were Abdul Qayyum (57), the bus driver from Chak No.267-GB Toba, M. Waleed (25), the car driver from Farooq Ganj Misri Shah Lahore, along with Manzoor Khalil (45), Raza Khalil (26), and Mateen Saleem (18), all residents of Misri Shah Lahore.
The injured individuals, identified as Sakina Younus (55), Zain Aslam (25), Khurram Shafiq (60), Jameel Bashir (50), Akram Shafiq (53), Elashba Zahid (13), Asima Ghafoor (45), and Khursheed Bibi (70), were promptly taken to the Allied Hospital for necessary medical treatment.
As the community reels from this heartbreaking incident, an ongoing investigation aims to determine the circumstances leading to the collision and establish accountability. The bodies of the deceased have been moved to the mortuary of Rural Health Centre (RHC) Khurarianwala.
