ISLAMABAD: The representatives of the Federation of All Pakistan Universities Staff Association (FAPUASA) and All Public Universities BPS Teachers Association (APUBTA) have decided to submit the circulated draft promotion statutes for the BPS university teachers.
The representatives on Wednesday held a meeting with officials at Higher Education Commission (HEC). HEC, APUBTA, and FAPUASA collaborated to write the statutes, which were shared with the stakeholders in December 2021.
In their meeting with the HEC Chairman and Executive Director on July 14, the FAPUASA Central President supported the BPS faculty. They emphasized the need for the draft statutes to be approved.
The APUBTA team commended Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Chairman of the HEC, and Dr. Shaista Sohail, Executive Director (ED), for their profound commitment to submitting the draft statutes for the commission’s approval at the next meeting.
The HEC chairman and ED approved the agreement before being jointly signed by the APUBTA President and DG HEC Nasir Shah. —APP
