LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has criticized the coalition government, adding the level-playing field does not mean PTI is restricted because almost 150 cases have been registered against him, local media reported on Saturday.

Addressing a public gathering in Lahore, he said, “A level-playing field does not mean my hands are tangled. A century of cases have been registered against me”.

Imran Khan presents roadmap for economic prosperity

Imran Khan also presented PTI’s roadmap for economic prosperity and emphasized that Pakistan needs tough decisions to be made to overhaul governance and surge exports.

The former Prime Minister praised PTI’s supporters and workers for attending the rally, claiming that despite all kinds of hurdles, a large number of people came to Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore. “Those in power must realize that blocking the roads with shipping containers cannot stop them,” Imran Khan said, saying that fear was spread to upset the public gathering.

Imran Khan claimed that his government was toppled under a conspiracy and “criminals” were imposed on the country as part of the plan.
Imran Khan said that he viewed people in other nations stand up to oppression, saying country achieves real and true freedom when there is justice. The former PM stressed that the country will have a true freedom when it has supremacy of the rule of law.

The PTI organized the public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan ground despite the caretaker Punjab government’s “threat alert” that terrorists might hit public gatherings in Lahore.

Imran Khan claims hundreds of PTI workers have been arrested

Criticizing the Interim government of Punjab for ‘creating hurdles’, Khan claimed that hundreds of PTI workers and activists have been taken while containers were also placed to prevent party supporters and workers from reaching the venue of public gathering.

Imran Khan concluded his speech by saying that ‘fair and transparent elections’ were the only way to resolve political and economic crisis. He claimed that the “PDM government” has made a program to keep me out of polls,”.

Imran Khan asked the federal government regarding the holding of elections in October, adding that the current rulers were afraid of losing in the polls. PTI chief urged the people not to ‘bow down’ to any type of fear.
