On the other side, a controversy started over the film’s song, and extremist Hindus of India have announced a boycott of the film. As per reports, Deepika’s saffron dress scene with Shah Rukh has been coloured by Indian extremists as religious fanaticism. The saffron is considered very sacred in Hinduism, while extremists in India have also objected to Shah Rukh wearing clothes of green colour in the song.

The Home Minister, who belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party, opposed the song and the colour of Deepika’s clothes. He said that Deepika Padukone had supported the protests at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He said they would ban the movie in Madhya Pradesh if its scenes were not changed. Meanwhile, extremist Hindus have also started a trend of boycotting the movie on Twitter and have also given threats.
