KARACHI: A tragic explosion in Hyderabad’s Preetabad neighbourhood occurred in the early hours of Thursday, claiming the lives of three people, including two young children, and causing severe burn injuries to several others.
According to Rescue 1122, the blast originated from a liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder filling station, engulfing a ground-floor shop and threatening the upper levels where families reside. The victims, identified as 10-year-old Rahim, 7-year-old Ali Raza, and a woman, lost their lives in the incident, while numerous others sustained injuries.
The wounded were transported to Liaquat University Hospital and Civil Hospital Hyderabad for urgent medical attention.
