BEIJING: As many as 31 people were killed when a blast ripped through a restaurant in the northwestern Chinese city of Yinchuan, state-run media reported on Thursday.

According to State news agency Xinhua, “a leak of liquefied petroleum gas… caused a blast during the operation of a barbeque restaurant,”.
However, CGTN reported that the explosion occurred at around 9 pm on a street in Xingqing district. Officials said that they have initiated an investigation to ascertain the causes of the explosion.
