MINSK: The Photographic exhibition titled “Pakistan at a Glance” was formally opened on Wednesday by Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, alongside Deputy Chairperson of the Minsk City Executive Committee Oleg Korzun, and Pakistan’s envoy to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan, a statement said.
According to the statement, the event was attended by a distinguished gathering of over a hundred Belarusian dignitaries, diplomats, civil society members, and journalists. The exhibition shows a vivid portrayal of Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, religious diversity, architectural and its stunning landscapes, featuring the majestic Karakoram as well as Himalayan ranges in the North, the lush green hills and valleys of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir and the mud hills, deserts, and pristine beaches of Sindh and Balochistan.
In his remarks, Pakistan’s Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan highlighted Pakistan’s diverse cultural and tourism heritage and underlined the role of cultural exchanges in strengthening relations between Belarus and Pakistan. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Minsk City Executive Committee for its continued help and support in organizing such beautiful events throughout the year. The envoy extended his thanks to the talented Pakistani photographers—Asmar Hussain, Adeel Chishti, Tehsin Razi, Hamid Hussain, and Abrar Khwaja—whose work is featured in the exhibition.
Deputy Chairperson Korzun lauded the Embassy for organizing the captivating exhibition and pledged his support for future initiatives. He also emphasized the significance of such cultural events in deepening the friendship and understanding between the people of Belarus and Pakistan.
In his brief remarks, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, thanked the attendees for their participation, lauded the quality of the exhibition, as well as emphasized the significance of enhancing bilateral ties in all sectors, including tourism and culture.
The “Pakistan at a Glance” exhibition will be open to the public until the end of September, offering locals and visitors of Minsk the chance to experience the diversity and beauty of Pakistan firsthand.
