QUETTA: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial on Monday said the judiciary is trying to implement the constitution, and everyone has to contribute to peace in the society.
Addressing a ceremony at the Supreme Court Quetta Registry, Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial has said the state is significant as a mother. The country can only become stable and will be developed through the implementation of the law.
Chief Justice Bandial further said the judiciary is making efforts to implement the constitution. Everyone has to contribute to peace and tranquillity in society.
“Differences among everyone need to be resolved. Protecting national institutions is also our duty and if the court and the law are not respected, there will be disorder in the country,” the Chief Justice added.
Chief Justice says protection of institution is essential
Chief Justice Bandial further said everyone should walk in cohesion in the current situation and sacrifices have to be tendered for the development of the nation. “There should be the supremacy of law in Pakistan. However, misconduct and chaos are seen in the subordinate courts,” CJP Bandial observed.
“It is essential for us to protect the state institutions under the constitution. The courts’ decisions will be in as per the law and the constitution of the country,” he added. Earlier, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel welcomed Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial on his arrival at the newly constructed Supreme Court Quetta Registry building.
Both were presented with a guard of honour by the police. Chief Justice Bandial and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel also inspected different parts of the building. Later, they heard the cases in the newly-constructed building of the Quetta Registry.
