ISLAMABAD: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has been named Pakistan’s Best Bank for 2026 by Euromoney, one of the world’s leading financial publications, in recognition of its strong financial performance.

The bank’s market leadership and overall presence across the country’s banking sector featured well in the nomination for the award.

Announcing the annual Awards for Excellence 2026, Euromoney said HBL earned the top distinction for its consistent delivery across retail, corporate, investment and private banking segments.

The publication highlighted the bank’s scale, nationwide reach and ability to maintain strong performance in a competitive market.

Pakistan’s banking distinctions

The bank also secured four additional national honours: Pakistan’s Best Retail Bank, Best Bank for Sustainable Finance, Best for Capital Markets Advisory, and Best Investment Bank for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), underlining its diversified strengths across multiple business lines, according to Euromoney.

Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence are regarded as among the most prestigious accolades in global banking and financial services, evaluating institutions on financial results, innovation, strategic execution and customer service. The awards have been a benchmark for banking excellence for more than three decades.

The latest recognition follows HBL’s success in the 2025 edition of the awards. The bank was also named Pakistan’s Best Bank and received additional honours in corporate and investment banking categories.

Founded in 1941, HBL is Pakistan’s largest private-sector bank by branch network and one of the country’s most influential financial institutions. Headquartered in Karachi, the bank serves millions of customers through an extensive domestic and international footprint.
