BRUSSELS: US President Joe Biden and EU top officials will meet next month to discuss tariffs and bilateral matters, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
EU-US TALKS
According to Reuters, Biden will host European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council head Charles Michel on October 20. The two sides will discuss steel tariffs and bilateral issues during the talks.
Earlier, Washington agreed to suspend tariffs on EU steel imposed by Donald Trump, with a deadline of the end of October to reach a deal to further promote green production and address overcapacity.
Some media reports suggest that the tariffs could be imposed again in the case of no deal.
