BRUSSELS: The European Union’s (EU) chief executive Ursula von der Leyen unveiled an aid package for Ukraine worth 50 billion euros (54.65 billion dollars) on Tuesday.
The announcement comes following a review of the group’s 2021-27 budget and ahead of an international conference in London, United Kingdom this week to collect more funds to rebuild Ukraine from its conflict with Russia, Reuters reported.
Reliability to EU’s partners
The 50-billion-euro budget allocation will provide perspective and reliability to the EU’s Ukrainian partners, von der Leyen said in remarks to reporters after a block commission meeting in Brussels.
