ISLAMABAD: European Union (EU) Ambassador to Pakistan, Riina Kionka, called on Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq at the Prime Minister House on Friday to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the premier expressed his contentment with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-EU relations and commended the recent advancements in this regard. He particularly emphasized the important role played by the GSP Plus scheme in augmenting Pakistan’s exports to European markets.
The Prime Minister underscored the importance of sustaining the GSP Plus scheme, which serves the interests of both Pakistan and the EU.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister affirmed his Government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding and upholding the rights of all its citizens. He assured that the Government would ensure constitutional continuity until the next general elections are conducted in the country.
In response, Riina Kionka conveyed the EU’s commitment to extending support to the Government of Pakistan and working towards enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
