ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has declared the Ethiopian ambassador to Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula as the” best ambassador” in Islamabad for his important role in bringing the two big countries closer quickly.
Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, ICCI President, while delivering a speech during Ethiopia-Pakistan Business Forum in Islamabad the other day, appreciated the envoy’s efforts for closer ties between the two countries.
He also lauded his role in the exchange of business delegations between Pakistan and Ethiopia.
On the occasion, Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar presented the best envoy award to Jemal Beker Abdula.
The minister also lauded the envoy’s key role in strengthening the bilateral relations.
Ambassador expresses gratitude
Jemal Beker expressed gratitude to the ICCI leadership for honouring him with the best envoy title and pledged more efforts and initiatives for consolidating Ethiopia and Pakistan bilateral ties.
The ambassador said Ethiopian Airlines would be instrumental in consolidating business-to-business and people-to-people ties between both nations.
