England Squad Arrives in Pakistan for Test Series

MULTAN: As Pakistan prepares to host the three-match Test series, England team touched down in Multan in the wee hours of Wednesday, days ahead of the series.

Ben Stokes led team will take on Pakistan in the first Test, set to start on October 7 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. English cricket team will start practicing for the test from October 4 following two days’ rest on October 2 and 3.

The second match of the test series will be played at the second venue whereas the third test match is scheduled from October 24 to 28 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan Test team skipper Shan Masood said that he was optimistic for the upcoming days ahead of the next Test series against England despite disappointing whitewash against Bangladesh.

Shan Masood (captain), Saud Shakeel (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Aamir Jamal, Babar Azam, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Huraira, Mir Hamza, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Rizwan (wicket-keeper), Saim Ayub, Noman Ali, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicket-keeper), Salman Ali Agha, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Left-arm spinner Noman Ali, who took 47 wickets in 15 Tests, has replaced fast bowler Khurram Shahzad.  Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Ali, who were part of the squad against Bangladesh, remain firmly in the selectors’ plans.
