DOHA: England showed what they can achieve at the FIFA World Cup 2022 after crushing Iran 6-2 on Monday to start their mega-event journey in style, Bukayo Saka said after the match.
The Arsenal star winger throw the ball twice into the goalpost on his world cup debut while Raheem Sterling, Jack Grealish, and Bellingham also struck to stop a six-game winless run for Southgate’s team.
Saka told BBC after the big win that his team needed that good start as it had not played the best in the mega-event. There were speculations and negative views about the team’s form but it showed its quality to everyone.

Saka was the player who had missed the decisive penalty in the Euro 2020 final that England lost to Italy 16 months ago.
