HAIKOU: An energy week event held in south China is helping promote clean energy cooperation between Indonesia and China.
The 2023 China-ASEAN Clean Energy Week started on Tuesday in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province, with delegates discussing issues concerning clean energy cooperation under the theme “For a Shared Future: Across the Ocean and Abreast into Prosperity,” Xinhua reported on Thursday.
Indonesia’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said that Indonesia is willing to strengthen international cooperation in energy, particularly practical exchanges in energy science and technology innovation, and assist with the large-scale development of clean energy.
Head of the National Energy Administration Zhang Jianhua said that China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) enjoy immense cooperation on energy access, the innovative application of clean energy technologies, and green energy financing.
China to continue practical cooperation with ASEAN
He said that Beijing will continue deepening practical cooperation with ASEAN nations in such fields as electricity connectivity, clean energy capacity building, and renewable energy.
