DUBAI: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that his party’s top priority would be ending the inflation in the country after winning the upcoming general elections.
During a meeting with a PML-N’s UAE chapter delegation on Sunday, Nawaz Sharif expressed full confidence in the party’s ability to overcome the current challenging situation on the economic front.
He hoped that democratic political parties in Pakistan would come together to form a new government after the polls, with the aim of bringing about economic development and prosperity in the country, a local media outlet reported on Monday.
Nawaz Sharif appreciates overseas Pakistanis
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif was informed about the high morale of party workers present in the UAE and other Gulf nations. He acknowledged the important role played by the overseas Pakistanis in strengthening the country’s economy through remittances.
The delegation also inquired about his health. Its members expressed their commitment to vigourously participate in the upcoming polls and promote PML-N’s agenda of national development.
They expressed their desire to see Nawaz Sharif become the prime minister of Pakistan for the fourth time and bring the country out of the current political and economic problems.
