ISLAMABAD: Japan’s embassy in Pakistan has celebrated the 64th Birthday of Emperor Naruhito in Islamabad. In this connection, Japan’s ambassador to Pakistan WADA Mitsuhiro has hosted a reception to celebrate the 64th Birthday of Emperor Naruhito at a local hotel in Islamabad.
WADA together with the distinguished guests cut a cake to mark the Emperor’s Birthday. Naruhito stands as the symbol of Japan and the unity of the people. He and the Imperial Family also facilitate the warm ties with foreign nations including Pakistan.
Pakistan’s caretaker Minister for National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah was the chief guest on the occasion. The reception was attended by a number of ministers, parliamentarians, top government officials, members of the diplomatic community and other dignitaries from the public and private sector.
Envoy thanks Pakistan
While welcoming the guests on the occasion, Japan’s envoy conveyed his gratitude to the government and the people of Pakistan for sending their best wishes on the birthday celebration of the Emperor. Expressing his appreciation for the long-standing friendly ties between Japan and Pakistan, the diplomat commended the contributions of all the people, who have helped to further strengthen the mutual relations in individual, business or official capacity.
