ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has introduced an 11-point procedure outlining the guidelines for observing general elections, applicable to both domestic observers and media entities.
According to the released notification, accreditation cards will be issued by the Election Commission Headquarters, Provincial Election Commissioners, and DROs (District Returning Officers). Accreditation will be extended to media, NGOs, and observer organizations.
Heads of observer organizations are required to submit affidavits, while observers must provide comprehensive biodata and identity card photocopies. The observers and their respective organizations are expected to cooperate fully and submit election process observation reports to the Election Commission.
