Eight Terrorists Killed in IBO in Northwest Pakistan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Eight terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “On 5 April 24, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan District on reported presence of terrorists.”

The ISPR said, “During the conduct of operation, after an intense fire exchange, eight Terrorists were sent to hell.”

It added that the killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces and target killing of innocent civilians.  The ISPR said that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the procession of killed terrorists.

“Locals of the area appreciated the operation. Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country” the ISPR further said.
