JENIN: Israeli forces on Friday martyred eight Palestinians in raids across the West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said, as violence surges in the occupied territory in tandem with the war in Gaza.

It said three men aged between 17 and 26 were martyred in the northern city of Jenin, the target of frequent military incursions, AFP news agency reported. According to Palestinian media, two of them died when a drone strike hit a house in the city’s refugee camp.

The Israeli military on Friday said its forces were “operating against Hamas” across the West Bank, with operations in the northern city of Nablus and Jenin.

In the southern city of Hebron, two more Palestinians aged 33 and 36 were martyred during a military raid on the Fawwar refugee camp, the ministry said.

Israeli military said that forces had “responded with fire” when Palestinians hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails at them after they seized “weapons manufacturing” equipment.

On Thursday, a seventeen-year-old Palestinian was shot dead also in Hebron, according to the ministry.

Israeli Forces Brutalities Against Palestinians

A Palestinian man, 29, was martyred during an Israeli arrest operation in the Qalandiya refugee camp between the West Bank city of Ramallah and Jerusalem, the ministry said.

In the early afternoon, the ministry said a 33-year-old Palestinian man was martyred by Israeli bullets in Budrus, a village west of Ramallah, the seat of the Palestinian Authority.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the latest Hebron and Budrus shootings. The ministry also said two other Palestinians had been martyred in Jenin late on Thursday.
