HAQL, Saudi Arabia: Al-Nakheel Park in the coastal governorate of Haql witnessed a significant influx of visitors during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, highlighting the region’s growing appeal as a tourism hotspot in the Kingdom’s northwest.

Spanning approximately 28,000 square meters along the Gulf of Aqaba, the park offers a distinctive seaside experience that combines landscaped greenery, walking and cycling paths, and direct access to a natural beach.

Its location near Saudi Arabia’s northernmost coastline provides visitors with sweeping views that stretch across international waters, adding to its unique charm, Arab News reported.

During the holiday period, families and young visitors gathered in large numbers, drawn by the park’s tranquil environment and scenic beauty.

Many described the destination as both relaxing and visually striking, noting the calming sea breeze, rows of palm trees, and open spaces ideal for leisure activities.

Designed with convenience in mind, the park includes children’s play zones, seating areas, rest facilities, and ample parking, making it well-suited for family outings and day trips.

Beyond the park itself, Haql has steadily gained recognition as a distinctive coastal retreat. The area is known for its mild climate, relatively low humidity, and clean beaches—features that set it apart from many of the Kingdom’s more humid coastal regions.

According to Arab News, the surrounding landscape further enhances Haql’s appeal. The nearby Al-Zaytah Mountains provide a dramatic natural backdrop, with their sandstone formations lining the route from Tabuk.

At sunset, the mountains take on warm hues of amber and red, creating a striking contrast against the desert sands and attracting photographers and nature enthusiasts.

Together, the blend of sea, desert, and mountain scenery has positioned Haql as a rare destination where diverse natural elements converge.

The strong turnout during Eid reflects a growing interest among Saudi families in exploring such emerging domestic tourism spots.
