ISLAMABAD: The Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday is celebrated by Muslims all over the world on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. On Sunday Muslims all over the world, including in Pakistan celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious and traditional zeal.
The Day Began With a 31-Gun Salute
The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals, respectively, to honour the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
To Honoured the Holy Prophet and Last Messenger, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), whose life and teachings serve as a beacon of light for humanity, the day was celebrated with special conferences, celebrations, Mehfil-e-Milad and processions.
Streets, markets, mosques and all private and public buildings had all been decorated with bright lights and bunting. This also applied to all public and private structures. On the eve of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif sent a message of congratulations to Muslims all over the world.
